My practice as an artist, ceramicist and researcher, meditates around the material of clay. Interest in clay’s psychological benefits as a natural resource has expanded my work to include reference to location and personal ancestry. Unconventional in my approach to making, work may materialise in a number of mediums; film, field recording, ceramic, cake, fabric, found objects, tbc. Continual research includes reading and gathering from many sources, modern literature, historical magic, and religious texts. These explorations extend to untraditional and investigatory workshops that encourage a new way to think about making. Tutor in ceramics, artist associate at SCVA and freelance facilitator for various arts organisations across East Anglia, I work from my studio and home, Easton Pottery in Norwich.
